Pause, Read & React / Base Hit, Fly Ball F9 to 3^rd base foul line, Pop Up – BU Pivots / Trouble ball from F8 to 1^st base foul line, Fly ball from F9 to the 1^st base foul line – BU goes out / Ground Ball – angle & distance 90° to 1^st base

Plate Umpire (Responsibilities)

Base Hit, Fly Ball F9 to 3^rd base foul line, Pop Up – Hustle into infield gaining angle no further than mound / Base Hit, Fly Ball F9 to 3^rd base foul line, Pop Up – Read BU and take runner / Ground Ball – Hustle up 1^st base line no further than 45’ line / all tags before 45’ line

All balls hit down both foul lines / Base hit – Rotate to 3^rd for call on R1 / Double Play – Slide at 2^nd base / Steal – Batter’s interference on the catcher’s throw
